TONY THE TIGER

We had a visitor at our grocery store this week.
Lainey asked me, "Who's Tony the Tiger"?
"Oh, he's Tony the Tiger."
When we were walking away, Jolie started whining and pointed at him like she wanted to go back.  So I took her over by to see him better.  She didn't want to be by him after all.
We got a free box of Frosted Flakes too. Yumm.

GOOD MORNING HAIR

I love when I wake up to this gorgeous hair do.
Jolie has a serious case of bed head.
I love waking up to this cute face too.
What?
Yeah, that is a Cheeto in her hand.
You don't give your kids cheetos for breakfast?

I also love her face in this next one. I think this is what is going on in her mind, "What are you doing mom? Can't you just leave me alone here with my Cheeto? K."

LINNEA

I went out to lunch last week with my good friend Linnea for her birthday.  We like to go to Nielson's cause it is delicious and most of the time the other customers don't get to mad at us when our kids just run around.  Which usually happens cause we are usually in a very important conversation most of the time.
Linnea and I have been friends since 9th grade.  So I did the math,  and that is 18 years.  That's a long time.
She is such an awesome person and I love her to death.  She has the three most beautiful children. Our kids get along great.
We had a nice lady come up to us and tell us that one of our children was picking the old chewed gum off the underside of the chairs.  I just assumed it would be Linnea's 3 year old, but no, it was Lainey.  Lainey promised she didn't eat it, I sort of believe her.

JOLIE'S CUTENESS

Jolie says, "CHEESE".
Oh my.
Sometimes I just can't stand it.  She is just so dang cute.
Sometimes I wonder what a little boy Brown baby would look like, would he be this cute.
(No, we have no announcements)
But Avery or Lainey tell me at least once, every other day, they want a little brother.

BIRTHDAY POOL PARTY

It's Avery's turn.
This is my nephew.  He is saying, "I'm a bird." Not really.  It took two pictures of him, and each one he looks like a bird. So funny.  I think my brother looks funny in the water too.
My other nephew.  Brother looks funny again.  HeeHee!!
We had Popsicles after dinner.  This is my cute niece. She is very entertaining. She will turn three in a few weeks.

Jolie had fun swimming and also playing outside the whole time.  She went on this little car, the little slide, and also the trampoline.

They made joker faces with their popsicles.  Silly kids.

Yeah for summer time and family.

GOOD DAY

Studying before church. (every chance he got, he would study.)

Today we found out Morgan passed his board exams.  YEAH!!!
He has been studying like crazy for the past couple months.  He was worried a little, and is very excited to be done with that.  The licensing board meets on the 23rd of this month to say if he gets his Physical Therapist license.  So still waiting for him to actually be working as a physical therapist.
He does have a job though.  We are very excited about that.
I am so proud of him. I knew he would pass.  He is such a smart boy.
Love Ya Honey!!
The girls love their daddy too.

SLIP SLIDIN' AWAY!!

Yah - Hoo!!! A SLIP - N - SLIDE!!!
on you marks,
get set
GO

If you've lived in AZ as a child, I know you've played on one of these.
I found one at Ace for $5.99.  Way worth it.  My kids LOVE it.

Lainey and Avery liked to go on their knees the first day.  Then the bruises showed up the next day, so no more of that.

I remember doing these for my birthday when I was a kid.  Cause my birthday is in July.  When you have a summer birthday, you are stuck with pool party or slip-n-slide party.  So that is what I had.

GIRLS CAMP

Man, I wish I was a better writer. (I am just warning you, this is rambling).

Last Wednesday I went up with my Young Women to girls camp.  This is the first time I’ve been, since I was probably 15 years old.  I am the camp director for my ward.  I think, no I know, I have the two best callings in the church.  Well at least for me, I do.  I am the primary chorister also.  Fun.

We had 18 girls go from our ward.  7 were YCL’s and were mostly off doing there own thing.  So I had 11 girls with us the whole time.  Three other leaders along with me.

It was absolutely the most fun, spiritual, and exhausting week ever.  My emotions were so close to the surface the whole time.  I’m still not sure if that was because of feeling the spirit so often or the lack of sleep.  But I cried a lot.

Besides a different girl barfing every day there, I had a blast.  I felt like one of the girls.  I was always just hanging out with them.  They thought I was pretty goofy, cause I was.  I just wanted them to have fun the whole time. So we played games when we weren’t doing a scheduled activity.  The Stake leaders really out-did themselves.  Everything was so organized and the lessons and games were just perfect.  I was so happy with everything.

Except for when I called home the second day and found out Jolie was sick and pucking.  That’s not fun to hear, when you can’t do anything about it.  But I knew she was in good hands with Morgan.  He is a good daddy.

When I got home on Saturday, Jolie just stared at me for long long time.  She was glad to see me again.  I was so glad to be home. But, I hope I will be able to go back again next year.  If I’m not pregnant or just had a baby, I’m planning on it.

WEEKEND IN SNOWFLAKE

We went up to visit our friends the Wiltbanks two weeks ago.  We had a good time. They are a family we met in Flagstaff. Carl went to school with Morgan.  Wendy and I became good friends.  I already miss them.  They have girls that are Avery and Lainey's ages.
The kids got to ride their horses.  That was Lainey's favorite thing.  We cooked dinner outside. Which included steak, potatoes and peach cobbler.  I had two helpings of the peach cobbler with ice cream.  Oh soooo good.  Morgan helped stir the potatoes.
The kids ran around and had an absolute blast the whole time.  Even if it rained a little.

Thanks for a great trip, Wendy!!!

RANDOM SUMMER PICS

I love that my kids are so cheesy for the camera.  Jolie has learned so fast.  These pictures crack me up.  Her cheesy smile is so silly.
I love that my kids like to hang out in swim suits all day.  That is what I use to do.  Even if we don't have a pool, they find a reason to put them on and get wet.
I love juice mustaches.  They only last so long and then they're gone.

GUITAR

I think it was the second to last day of school, Avery asked if she could play her guitar for her class.  So I took it to her, right before lunch and she played her heart out.  All her friends clapped and were very impressed.
She has been taking lessons since the beginning of the year.  I think she is doing a great job.
