BABY SHOWER

I had such a fun baby shower. I have the most awesome sisters and moms to help throw it for me and Dax.
It was at my sisters house and they had such a yummy spread. Many friends and family came.
We got lots of baby things and some super cute boy clothes that we so so needed.
My mom and sisters above and my sister in laws below.
The spread. Brunch food included crepes, quiche, fruit, muffins, and donut holes were super delicious.

This is what Dax thought of the whole thing.
Boring.
He slept the whole time.
Thanks everyone for coming and helping us celebrate the arrival of our precious little boy.

OUR NEW ADDITION

We are SOOOOO super excited to welcome little Dax Tyler to our family.
Here are some pictures of his first week of life.

When I have more time I'll blog about all the happenings here in the Brown house.
Avery also informed me that I have a lot of changes to make on this blog, like the name of it can't be 4 girls and a boy anymore.  But little time and little sleep won't allow me to quite yet.

BUG EYES

While Jolie was in swim lessons, I got her some goggles.  The pink head band she wears keeps the water out of her ears, cause she has tubes.  Then with the goggles, man she is so stinking cute.  She's my little bug eye girl. She loves swimming and loves her goggles too.

LETS PLAY MUSIC

Our little Lainey is getting so big. I signed her up with a friend of mine who teaches Lets Play Music last September.  I thought this would be good for her to open up and learn music early on.  (Cause you know how much I love music.)  She was always so shy when I asked her to sing a song for me.  And this program is such a great one. It has helped her come out of her shell and now she isn't shy at all to sing in front of people.  She is such a great singer and is learning music so well.
In the first year they learn the basic scale and different beats of notes.  They also get a set of bells that have been fun for everyone in the house.  At the end of the year they do a recital for all the kids.  She was so proud to show us all she has learned.
Next year the get to start on the key board.  Soo fun.  She is excited to play the piano like her sister.

BALLET RECITAL

My girls took ballet this year. They loved it. They had a great teacher and they sure learned a lot in just a short amount of time.
We are so proud of them.

Jolie patiently waited for their dances to finish so she could go out and do her little dance herself.
I have them in a summer tumbling class at the same dance place. They have sore legs just from the first day.  I think it is funny.

AVERY IN HER SCHOOLS TALENT SHOW

Ever since last year's talent show, Avery has wanted to be in it this year.  So when they sent the paper home that said it was time to try out, Avery started working on her song.  We found a really cute song from the Princess and the Frog movie called Almost There.  She tried out, and made it.  She is way braver than I was at her age.  She sang twice to the school and once in the evening for the parents.  She was soo cute and good. We are so proud of her.

LAINEY'S KINDERGARDEN MUSICAL

Last week was Lainey's kindergarden musical.  It was all about the alphabet.  It was soo cute.  Lainey's class wore purple.  She knew all the words  and sang her little heart out.

JOLIE IS ALMOST SWIMMING

I wanted to get Jolie swimming this summer, so I won't have to worry about her when the baby comes. So I started her in swim lessons last month.  She is almost there. She is by far the best swimmer in her class.  She is a fish for sure.  I don't think she will be totally on her own when her lessons end, but she can at least make it to the side of the pool and monkey walk to the step.
Luckily the pool she swims in is heated, so I usually have to beg her to get out when the lessons are over.  She just loves them and her teacher is great.
Her pink head band is to help keep the water out of her ears. We get a lot of questions about it.
