POEM

I thought since every anniversary card usually has a nice poem, I would write my very own. And since our printer is broken and I can’t print this out, Morgan is going to have to read it on the computer like everyone else.

So here goes…

For Morgan, my loving husband.

We went bowling with friends,

you liked what you saw.

So you asked me,

“Lets go watch some ball.”

(D-backs game, our first date)

 

We shared Dr. Pepper

and yummy nacho chips.

It took you a whole week

to finally kiss my lips.

 

You thought you would try

To cook me some dinner.

You didn’t, but that was fine,

I knew I had a winner.

 

You are so handsome and sweet,

hardworking and super smart.

We still love each other

Even though we sometimes  _ _ _ _.

 

Your family is super,

And mine didn’t scare you.

We are forever together

I know that is true.

 

We’ve made beautiful daughters.

One, two, and three.

I couldn’t ask for much more

for you to give to me.

I’m so thankful you carry the priesthood,

and are worthy  to have it.

We teach and serve in the gospel

We’ll never ever quit.

We’ve gone through a lot

In our ten years together.

But doing it with you,

has made it even better.

 

You help me so much.

Every day you try harder.

I’m so glad you chose me

to be you life partner.

 

I could go on and on

about how awesome you are.

The best daddy and hubby,

the winner by far.

 

I love you more today

I will forever and ever.

You make me who I am,

and I keep getting better and better.

(and so do you.)

 

I don’t have a lot

to give to you today.

So I give you my heart,

forever it will stay.
