BABY MULLET

While at a family dinner a couple weeks ago, my little brother mentioned that Jolie has a baby mullet.  I can't deny it, she really does.  But what can I do?
I can't cut it.
So here she is in all her cuteness.
 Business in front,
Party in the back.
Here's another view of it blowing in the wind.
Pretty in pink, baby mullet and all.
At least it's not this bad, and I will never let it get this bad.  Cause this is very bad.
Just in case you want to cut your own mullet . . .

PARK PLAY

For Presidents day, we went to the park and had a picnic.  We also had the grass sleds for the kids to play with.    Avery had her friend K-D come and the Stoker boys were there too.
They had a blast.

CELEBRATING LOVE

A happy Valentines day to all in the Brown home.  All the girls got chocolates from grandma and grandpa.  Jolie loved hers.

I came home and this is what I found.  Yes, that is a toaster.  We are still using our ten year old toaster. And I mentioned to Morgan a while ago that I would like a new one.  How sweet is that, he remembered and got me one. Nothing says I Love You more than a toaster. Right?  The flowers aren't too bad either.  Good job hubby.

CELEBRATING BABIES

Today we threw a fun baby shower for my sister Audrey.  She had two adorable twin girls in January.  We had it at my other sister Evie’s house.  We had lots of help with it.  She had some friends and in-law family bring some of the yummy food, and we had a lot of yummy food.  I took pictures. Here's one with me and my two sisters. Evie is the one on the far left and Audrey is in the middle.  Evie will be mad at me for putting this on cause she's making a funny face. But this is the only one I got with all of us together.

So sorry Evie.

This is an eatable fruit bouquet one of Audrey's friends made. We had it all decorated for Valentines Day in pink and red.
The desert table, too much yumminess.
We had little sandwiches and things.  My salad is there off the right side.  Tons of people asked for the recipe.  I will try to get that on my blog too, cause it is soooo good.
Audrey got tons of little girl things.  She is all set.  Now she just has to worry about the sleepless nights ahead of her with two little ones home now.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US

Yesterday was our 10th anniversary.  I woke up with my new camera all wrapped up in a pretty bag.  And the nicest, sweetest card ever.  I love love love my new camera.  Now I just need to learn all about it.  I got Morgan about 10 new shirts, for free.  (We love free clothes, thanks Evie).  Then after playing with friends all afternoon, we took our kids to have pancakes with Grandma Cheri.  Morgan and I got to go for a nice romantic dinner together at the Cheesecake Factory.  We had a very nice delicious dinner and had a wonderful night together to celebrate our first 10 years of happy marriage.
The cheesecake we couldn't finish.  I got the lemon raspberry, and Morgan got the one that has carmel, peanut butter, Reeses peanut butter cups, butterfinger and  chocolate.  Yummy.

POEM

I thought since every anniversary card usually has a nice poem, I would write my very own. And since our printer is broken and I can’t print this out, Morgan is going to have to read it on the computer like everyone else.

So here goes

For Morgan, my loving husband.

We went bowling with friends,

you liked what you saw.

So you asked me,

“Lets go watch some ball.”

(D-backs game, our first date)

We shared Dr. Pepper

and yummy nacho chips.

It took you a whole week

to finally kiss my lips.

You thought you would try

To cook me some dinner.

You didn’t, but that was fine,

I knew I had a winner.

You are so handsome and sweet,

hardworking and super smart.

We still love each other

Even though we sometimes  _ _ _ _.

Your family is super,

And mine didn’t scare you.

We are forever together

I know that is true.

We’ve made beautiful daughters.

One, two, and three.

I couldn’t ask for much more

for you to give to me.

I’m so thankful you carry the priesthood,

and are worthy  to have it.

We teach and serve in the gospel

We’ll never ever quit.

We’ve gone through a lot

In our ten years together.

But doing it with you,

has made it even better.

You help me so much.

Every day you try harder.

I’m so glad you chose me

to be you life partner.

I could go on and on

about how awesome you are.

The best daddy and hubby,

the winner by far.

I love you more today

I will forever and ever.

You make me who I am,

and I keep getting better and better.

(and so do you.)

I don’t have a lot

to give to you today.

So I give you my heart,

forever it will stay.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

I LOVE YOU MORGAN BROWN

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Oh how I love love love Chocolate chip cookies.  I am a chocolate chip cookie-a-holic.
I am going through withdrawls.  I have been on this diet this year, and I've done pretty good, (except at the super bowl party - I pigged out).
But I really miss these little guys.  It hurts to even look at this picture.
I made these cookies back in December when I was eating what ever I wanted and thought they looked sooo good, so I took a picture.
I got this recipe from my friend Wendy, who got it from her sister, who got it from her visiting teacher.  It is just the perfect cookie and it makes about 4 dozen.  Back when I was eating cookies, I would make a dozen, then refrigerate the rest and then make the rest over the rest of the week.  Oh my gosh they are soooo good right out of the oven.  MMM MMM gooood.
(thanks Wendy, we miss you)

Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 C. butter flavored shortening
1/2 C. softened butter
3/4 C. sugar
3/4 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 & 2/3 C. flour
1 bag of chocolate chips
(I like milk chocolate chips best)

Cream the shortening and butter together really well.  Then add both sugars and cream together really well. Then add vanilla and eggs one at a time and cream really well.
In separate  bowl mix salt, baking soda, and flour.  Add dry mix to cream mix, slowly.  Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake at 375 for 9 to 10 minutes.  Take directly off pan onto cooling rack.

NO CAMERA

I've never posted without pictures before.  I'm feeling lost and confused with out my camera.  What am I going to do?
JK, I'll be fine.  I'm just a tad sad.
It was a nice camera.  We got it about 8 years ago.  It was our first digital camera.  We have many good memories from it.  I remember thinking, "what did we do before digital cameras?"  Just like what we think of cell phones too now.
The focusing mechanism inside the camera just froze up.  I have some pictures I still need to download from it.  So we will have to wait for my new camera to arrive.  I already ordered one.  It will arrive next week around Morgan and my anniversary.  He lucked out and didn't have to think of some super special gift by himself.  "Just get me a camera and I'll even pick it out for you and order it for you dear" I said.
So next week we'll be back to the world of picture taking and memory keeping. This is the camera I am expecting.  I'm excited about it.

6

TAG YOU'RE IT!
Just got tagged! Here are...

The Rules:

1. Go to your documents/pictures.
2. Go to your 6
th file.
3. Go to your 6
th picture.
4. Blog about it.
5. Tag 6 people to do the same.
6. So here we go..

This picture was taken last year in my house in Flagstaff.  It brings back some good memories.  The first house we lived up in Flag was a tiny little town house.  We had some friends from Morgan’s class who knew of a family moving out and the house they lived in was huge.  They were moving out the same month our lease was going to be up.  We went and saw it and loved it.  We asked their landlord nicely if we could move in and of course they let us.  So we moved again.  Three moves in three years. 1st moved up to Flag in tiny town house, 2nd move into this big house, 3rd move back to Mesa.

The rent was exactly the same as the first house we lived, but the neighborhood wasn’t so great.  I think that is why they didn’t charge so much.  The first day we moved in, at 9:00am a drunk Indian guy came up to us and ask where he was going.  So we  didn’t go play outside much.  But we had plenty of room to play inside.

My girls have on there leotards in this picture.  ( l like the word leotard, it is fun to say.)  They were in a dance class and they liked to practice at home.

Avery has no front teeth.  I love that look.  She is so dang cute.

Lainey loves to play with her big sister.

They are eating cheese crips.  I forget it this was lunch or dinner.

My book is on the table.  I can see it is a book I read for one of my book clubs.  I was in two book clubs up in Flag.  I miss them.  I met some really awesome ladies and made some good friends.  The book is called The Goose Girl.  I even remember who selected that book, it was Jamele.  I really liked that book.  I even have read two more of the authors books.

So now I tag every sixth person on my list. My list changes cause when people blog they move up on the list.  But here are the people who were sixth when I posted this.

Do it if you want.
